Fabric & Care Guide
FABRIC & FIBRES
We are committed to using only 100% natural fibers and fabrics in all of our garments. Why? Natural fibers such as cotton, linen, wool, silk, and hemp offer superior benefits, including better temperature regulation, odour control, and enhanced comfort. They are also more sustainable—easier to produce (with the exception of cotton), repurpose, recycle, and break down.
In instances where synthetic trims or finishes, such as waistband elastics, fusing, zippers, or ribbons, are required, we carefully select them to ensure the durability and longevity of our garments, or when suitable natural alternatives are not available.
GARMENT CARE
Our prints are curated on commission by a local Australian graphic designer and printed using digital textile printing technology, on a demand only basis. Our printing factory (based in Melbourne) uses water based inks on all our fabrics and products.
To ensure the longevity of your Socha Atelier garment, we recommend the following care instructions:
- Cold gentle machine or hand wash individually, use quality laundry liquid/powder, wash inside out to protect print.
- Do not soak, wring, rub, bleach or tumble on high heat.
- Low tumble heat permitted however extended or high use will fade print.
- Pull back into shape and dry flat or on hanger.
- Warm iron on reverse side.
- Dry clean using Hydrocarbon (perc free).
