The Atelier
At Socha Atelier, our name is more than just a title – it is a statement of purpose. Socha (pronounced SOH-khuh), meaning “statue,” reflects a timeless embodiment of creativity, artistry, and resilience. It informs our approach and inspiration: to create designs that stand as monuments to elegance and functionality.
Within the atelier – a space of making – each piece is developed with intention and care. Ideas are shaped into garments that feel considered, purposeful, and enduring.
From humble beginnings at a kitchen table, Socha Atelier was founded with a singular mission: to dismantle limitations and stigma, offering garments created through intentional craftsmanship that support accessibility and empowerment.
Founder Cecilia Grace draws on a rich heritage in sewing, design, and art, guided by both institutional knowledge and artistic instinct to shape the direction of the brand. The work is not driven by volume or trend, but by necessity – each garment exists in response to a clear absence.
Our recovery garments are meticulously designed to accommodate medical devices and the realities of healing, without compromising comfort or appearance. Each piece exists with purpose – necessary, deliberate, and held to a higher standard – supporting the body through change while restoring ease, independence, and confidence.
At its core, Socha Atelier is guided by responsibility – to the wearer, to the process, and to what is made. Our intention extends beyond function: to challenge the expectation that brands exist for production alone, but instead to educate, inspire, and contribute to a more considered and responsible future.
Thank you for being part of this journey. I can’t wait to see how our designs become part of your story.
