Custom-Made or Pre-Order Garments: What to Expect

Lead Times and Production

All garments are carefully handcrafted by local seamstresses upon order through our shop. Lead times typically range from 7 to 14 days, depending on demand. After your purchase, you will receive an estimated lead time and shipping details. Payment is captured at checkout and processed at beginning of order construction.

In rare instances, unforeseen circumstances may arise. Since our fabrics and prints are sourced sustainably and in low volumes to minimize waste and overproduction, occasional delays may occur. While we make every effort to maintain a steady supply of materials, unexpected shortages or other factors beyond our control could temporarily impact production timelines.

Should any such situation arise, we are committed to keeping you informed promptly and transparently with alternative options and new lead times.

Shipping and Postage Details

All orders include complimentary domestic standard shipping via Australia Post. Once your order is dispatched, tracking details will be sent to you via email. Express, courier, and international shipping are available at additional costs however, please note that these options do not affect the production time of made-to-order garments.

We strive to ensure the successful delivery of all orders by providing tracking information and handling details. However, Socha Atelier cannot assume responsibility for orders that are lost or stolen while in the care of third-party delivery services and will work with customers and delivery services to resolve issues within our control.

Exchanges, Returns, & Faulty Items

At Socha Atelier, we pride ourselves on crafting one-of-a-kind pieces and ensure every item undergoes a thorough quality check before dispatch. As our products are made-to-order, slight variations in size or print may occur, reflecting their bespoke nature.

Any garments produced with speciality alterations through request, under our Recovery Series cannot be refunded or exchanged for change of mind.

If you are dissatisfied with the quality, require a different size, or feel your order isn’t the right fit, we offer a hassle-free 30-day return or exchange policy for change of mind. If your order was a gift, we can only offer an exchange or brand credit.

Additionally, in line with our commitment to sustainability, we encourage and provide free repair options for minor issues, such as missing buttons or small seam rips.
